Time: 1-4 hours
The Buffalo Marathon takes place on the Sunday before Memorial Day each year. And, while it's a suitably gruelling 26.2-mile course for the athletes, it's very easy if you want to go and watch: the start and finish lines are only 900 metres apart. So if you're feeling athletic you can follow the runners along the route - if not, cheer them as they leave from Delaware St and Huron St at 6.30am, and watch them arrive at the finish line at Buffalo-Niagara Convention Center about two hours later.
