HORLEY

Mayfield Lavender, on Carshalton Road near Banstead in Surrey, is a 25-acre lavender farm... and for a pound you can wander around. In July and August the blooms are at their finest, so go and surround yourself in purple, breath in the scent, and take unique photos (although commercial ones require a fee). It's open from 9am.
